IMG_30991. Have you ever relaxed your hair? If yes, when and why did you decide to go natural?

I got relaxers as a kid, I’ve been natural since I graduated high school in 2014! I was leaving home to go to school very far away. My mom always did my hair for me and I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep up with relaxing my hair haha

2. Do you think that women wearing wigs and weaves do not appreciate their natural hair?

I don’t think that at all! If anything, it means they care about their hair more because they are protecting it. I love experimenting with wigs, it gives me a chance to try out new looks and styles without doing any damage to my own hair.

3. What is your hair routine ?

I think my routine is fairly simple, I wash it every 2 weeks. I don’t use shampoo, only conditioner. After washing I use a light oil moisturizer (it also acts as a heat protectant) and rub it through my hair while it’s damp. Then depending how I’m wearing it, I may do a twist out for my fro or if I’m wearing it up I’ll blow dry it! I don’t normally do wash and go because I have some serious shrinkage lol If I’m wearing a wig at the time, I’ll just do some quick cornrows 🙂

6. What are your 3 favorite hair products ?

OGX beauty “Argan oil of Morocco” conditioner, it’s my favorite conditioner!!! Also from OGX beauty, I use their Extra Strength Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Hair Oil! I use this daily, it keeps my hair moisturized and gives it great luster. My favorite leave in is Cantu’s conditioner with Argan oil, it protects hair and prevents damage! Plus, it keeps my curls poppin’ !!
